HR Technology Advisors, LLC Announces New Benefits Brokerage Technology Division
New Division focuses specifically on the internal technology needs of Employee Benefits Brokers
Franklin, MA, January 2, 2009 - HR Technology Advisors, LLC (HRT), a national human resources and benefits technology consulting and services firm for employee benefits brokers and their customers, unveiled its new benefits brokerage technology division called Benefits Brokerage Systems (www.benefitsbrokeragesystems.com). The new division focuses entirely on the internal technology needs of employee benefits brokerage firms, which includes customer relationship management systems, sales force automation, commission tracking, document management, company extranets, and more.
“The evolution of the market has created the need for benefits brokers to make independent decisions around what technologies they need to run their businesses from the technologies they may need deliver to their customers,” says Joe Markland, Principal of HRT. “What a broker needs to run their business is not the same solution as what a broker’s client needs to run their Benefits and HR. These markets have evolved independently, and there are ‘best of class” solutions in each area.”
The new business unit will focus on reselling third-party products and consulting with benefits brokers to leveraging technologies that can improve sales, service delivery, and internal efficiencies. The HR Technology unit will continue to resell products and consult with brokers and their customers on technology solutions to help administer their benefits and human resources processes. The technology categories include benefit Websites, Web enrollment systems, HR Systems, time and attendance, and payroll.
HRT has implemented systems for over 175 brokerage firms using 10 different technology platforms. More recently, HRT has developed a relationship with Microsoft to deliver a Benefits Broker and General Agency version of Microsoft’s Dynamic CRM product called Benefits Agency Manager. The modifications to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 fit the business needs and workflows of the Employee Benefits Brokerage industry. In addition to core functionality of the base system, like full integration directly into Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications, the system enables Benefits Brokers to track and manage policies including rates and plan data, manage customer service with a customer portal, attach documents, manage renewals, and administer commissions.
HRT’s senior management team averages over 20 years experience working within the employee benefit brokerage industry and have successfully implemented agency management systems for more than 90 brokerage firms in the past eight years.
